For each 'problem' area you're taken through the science, but don't worry if this isn't your area of expertise, as it's delivered with a very light hand at a basic level. It must be - I had no problem in understanding it. You're given some tips as to how you can help yourself and they're all simple and sensible. When it comes to exercise walking is recommended and I don't think an expensive gym membership was ever mentioned. None of the food requires ingredients you can't pronounce or imagine where you could buy it. There ''is'' an emphasis on fresh food, preferably produced locally as that's fresher.
Despite the science content , it's an easy read. I finished my first read -through over a couple of days and I've since gone back to reread certain chapters which I felt were particularly relevant. I've made notes about supplements - something which I've always preferred to avoid as I thought that you didn't need them if you ate a balanced diet but I've come to the conclusion that there are areas where I could do with some support. It was a good, enlightening read and I'd like to thank the publishers for letting Bookbag have a copy.
It's a book to shelve next to [[The Telomere Effect: A Revolutionary Approach to Living Younger, Healthier, Longer by Dr Elizabeth Blackburn and Dr Elissa Epel]]. You might also appreciate [[Keep Your Brain Stronger for Longer by Tonia Vojtkofsky]].
