|summary=Truly superior, this graphic novel does similar things to hundreds of other superhero stories - it just does them better than nearly any of them. Hugely recommended.

Former basketball star Simon Pooni is now in a wheelchair and blind in one eye - at the age of 12. Mutliple sclerosis has left him in this state, praying for a cure. Then a talking monkey named Orman appears to him and offers him the chance to become a real life version of movie superhero Superior - for a week. But what will happen when the week ends?
In addition, because it's a stand-alone, it's perfect for someone with little to no knowledge of comics to read, compared to trying to get into the sprawling worlds of Marvel and DC. Huge recommendation as one of my favourite graphic novels.
My favourite superhero comic of all-time is still [[Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons]] - although this certainly runs it close! Fellow Bookbag reviewer John was nearly as impressed by [[Kick-Ass by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr]]. Both of those are aimed more at adults - for another excellent all-ages read, I particularly enjoyed [[Green Lantern Volume 1: Sinestro by Geoff Johns and Doug Mahnke]]. You might also en joy [[Death Sentence by Montynero and Mike Dowling]]. {{amazontext|amazon=0857685945}}{{amazonUStext|amazon=0857685945}}
