Little Pip, a young penguin still slightly fluffy around the edges, enjoys playing in the sprawling Antarctic. When she chases a feather one day, she finds that she's lost, and embarks on an adventure to find her home - meeting up with other Antarctic animals in the process.
I absolutely loved ''Little Pip''. It's such a wonderful story. It brings to mind the charm of the classics [[Love You Forever by Robert N Munsch]] and [[''Are You My Mother? '' by PD Eastman]]. Pip is realistically drawn, but as cute as can be. Seeing her struggling against the snowstorm is heartbreaking (although, of course, never too scary). Her repeated sad comment of ''but that's not '''my''' home'' gives the book a nice rhythm. And how can you not love:
''Where is home? Is it far or near?''<br>
