During her time in the Coast Guard she started writing articles about military history. This blossomed into writing full time after the Coast Guard. <br /> <br /> Kate started publishing her &#039;&#039;Happy Housewife&#039;&#039; mystery series in 2012. While continuing her work on this series she also published two novels, in 2016 and 2019.
