The most strikingly obvious recommendation of reading this is [[Room by Emma Donoghue]], again featuring a believable child narrator. This book is likely to be as much praised as Donoghue's book was last year. [[The Heretic's Daughter by Kathleen Kent]], set in the historic world of the Salem witch trials, is also well worth a look. In non-fiction terms, you might also enjoy [[Why Be Happy When You Could Be Normal? by Jeanette Winterson]] whose upbringing was almost as disturbing as Judith's.
