''The House on the Lake'' is a story of grief at the loss of a parent, of the bond between mother and child and of finding out who you really are, which isn't down to parentage. It touched a deep nerve in me, as I suspect it would with anyone who has had a troubled relationship with a parent. I'd like to thank the publishers for making a copy available to the Bookbag.
If you'd like something similar we can recommend [[The House at Riverton by Kate Morton]].If you'd like more from Nuala Ellwood, [[My Sister's Bones by Nuala Ellwood|My Sister's Bones]] comes highly recommended. {{amazontext|amazon=0241985153}}
