Tina is a really curious cow who just wants to know everything there is to know about, well, everything. Her sisters think that's just silly, and when Tina tells them that she climbed a tree and found a dragon they decide the situation has gotten out of hand. But what will they find when they looking for her in the woods? You'll just have to read the book to find out.

When I saw the cover of this book, I had no idea just how good a story I was in for. It might be about a cow, but it's definitely not your run of the mill farmyard story for kids. I think it is a thoroughly charming book with a very important message. It encourages children to question everything, to be curious and above all to never say that something is impossible. I think it's fabulous to have a story which celebrates ideas like these, and the way in which it is told is both simple enough to read with much younger children, but uses words and ideas which also suits it well to preschool children who might be a little more inquisitive and understanding.

The illustrations are great; colourful and entertaining without being so distracting they take away from the story. They also have exactly the right amount of quirkiness in them to match with the slightly surreal edge which the book as a whole has, especially when it comes to the dragon sitting in the tree tops. Somehow Gemma Merino has managed to capture some really beautiful looking landscapes in a really unique and simple way, which works even more to the book's advantage.

Overall, I think this is a special story which captures a childlike imagination perfectly, and hopefully encourages them to think big. I hope this book does really well, and I feel like I'm going to be looking out for anything this author does in the future because I enjoyed this one so much.

If you're looking for another book by the same author then look no further than The Crocodile Who Didn't Like Water, or if it's more cow related literature that tickles your fancy, you could always give The Cow That Laid An Egg by Andy Cutbill a go!
