This isn't really one for sharing with toddlers as the story is quite complex. I think it works best for those who are a bit older and can have more of an appreciation for the trials (and the humour!) of trying to tell someone a story when they aren't really listening! Or the frustrations of a reader who is desperately trying to understand the story but needs to query every little point. My very nearly eight-year-old daughter absolutely loved this book, for example, and it made her laugh out loud. She even came down from her bunk bed where she was reading to herself to show me the funniest page! The tone is brilliant, is cleverly done and so very simple yet it works beautifully. Naughtiness and imagination and a good, fun story that is great to read at home, or lovely to give as a gift.
For those who believe not all wolves are big and bad try [[Red Riding Hood and the Sweet Little Wolf by Rachael Mortimer and Liz Pichon]] or of course, sometimes, the wolf really does eat grandma as in [[Choking Wolf (Urgency Emergency!) by Dosh Archer]]. You might also enjoy [[Cat and Dog by Helen Oswald and Zoe Waring]] and [[Rain or Shine (Snip and Snap) by Diane Fox and Christyan Fox]].
