|summary=Little Bear's dad tries to teach him all the animals he ought to know, but the problem is they are a little mixed up! What would happen if a bird was mixed up with a cat? Would it purr? Would it have fur? What would happen if a cat was mixed up with a bird? Would it fly in air? Would it have feathers not hair? Another delightful delve into the realm of mixed-up creatures!

With a rather delightful finale (a pyjama wearing whale), ''The Big Animal Mix-Up'' is simply enchanting and without further ado, you simply must go and get yourself a copy, because if you find the sound of your little one gurgling with laughter as utterly irresistable as I do, I've yet to find a faster way to accomplish it than by reading these books.
For further reading and as suggested above, [[The Big Jungle Mix Up by Gareth Edwards]] is a great place to start. If giggle-inducing creature books are your little one's idea of fun, then you should most definitely take a look at [[The Day The Gogglynipper Escaped by James McKnight and Mark Chambers]]. Kanako Usui also illustrated [[My Friend Fred (the Plant) by Daniel Cleary and Kanako Usui|My Friend Fred (the Plant) by Daniel Cleary]].
Finally a big thank you to the ladies and gents at Hodder for sending this copy to Bookbag for review.
