All the children enjoyed this book and so did I. The drawings are colourful and cartoony and there's a happy ending in a cake shop ''beside the big blue sea'' where the pirates are finally at liberty to follow their true vocations.
The theme of choice is a feature of the entertaining picture book [[When I Woke Up I was a Was A Hippopotamus by Tom MacRae and Ross Collins]] and [[The Three Little Pirates by Georgie Adams and Emily Bolam]] is a longer story to read aloud.
