You might have to suspend disbelief just a little bit about the ease with which our reborn Kat picks up employment, but the rest of the book is tightly plotted and information is drip-fed to you. Even then I didn't guess the twist. It wasn't that I had an idea but was proved wrong, or that I suspected what was behind it but didn't manage to pull all the clues together: I simply had no idea whatsoever and when it was laid down in front of me I felt as though I'd been punched.
The book's a keeper too. Next time round you'll know how it all works out but there's a great deal of pleasure to be had in rereading and seeing just ''how'' you were gently misled - and how ready you were to be led astray. I'd like to thank the publishers for sending a copy to the Bookbag: it's a long time since I've been so convincingly hoodwinked and enjoyed it, to boot! We also have a review of [[The Honeymoon by Tina Seskis]].
If this sort of book appeals then we think that you might also enjoy [[A Room Swept White by Sophie Hannah]].
