It's even difficult to tell you much about the characters apart from the fact that they're brilliantly drawn, as you might believe what you're told, but you'll have a niggling doubt in the back of your mind that you've not been told the whole truth, that there's an ulterior motive behind what you've read. The only character I found to be completely straightforward was Millie. We're with her between the ages of six and nine and she goes through some dreadful times, but there's no guile in her. I loved that.
Lies Lies Lies is not a book you can pick up and put down. It's a book you'll start reading and be unable to put down because you need to know what happens next. I finished it in a little over twenty-four hours and resented every minute I had to spend away from the characters. Amazingly this is the first Adele Parks book I've read, but it certainly won't be the last and fortunately there's a more than decent back catalogue to investigate. I'd like to thank the publishers for making a copy available to the Bookbag. We also have a review of Just My Luck by Adele Parks.
If Lies Lies Lies appeals then you might also enjoy In Her Eyes by Sarah Alderson.
