Wes Stuart.jpg

Wes Stuart was born and raised in Oxford but spent most of his adult life in London. Of African Caribbean background, Wes grew up at a time when expectations of young boys from his background were at their lowest. This, and an accident as a teenager that has left him in a wheelchair, has meant that he has had to look at the world very differently from most. Fortunately, this has enabled him to help others to think differently about their careers and life chances and Wes has built a business around this.

The same can be said for his writing. Wes grew up with stories always in his mind. These could be about heroes overcoming impossible odds or young people confronting daunting tragedy. Whatever he dreamed up, Wes had always assumed everyone thought this way. So, it came as a big surprise to discover that this was not the case. Yet, only now has he had the confidence to put 'pen to paper' and write his first book, My Name is Sam. This is the first of a trilogy that will tell Sam's story. Beyond this, Wes intends to write many more stories for both young adults and adults in the future.
