Rob Keeley has been writing stories and plays since childhood and had his first magazine article published aged fifteen. He is the author of three collections of short stories for children, [[The Alien in the Garage and Other Stories by Rob Keeley|The Alien in the Garage]], [[The (Fairly) Magic Show and Other Stories by Rob Keeley|The (Fairly) Magic Show]] and [[The Dinner Club and Other Stories by Rob Keeley|The Dinner Club and Other Stories]], all published by Troubador Publishing.  His ''Spirits'' series of ghost novels for children is also available from Troubador.  His books for children have been longlisted for the Bath Children's Novel Award and the International Rubery Book Award, and nominated for the People's Book Prize.  He has written for ''Chain Gang'' and ''Newsjack'' for BBC Radio 7 (now BBC Radio 4 Extra), and has several magazine credits to his name, both fiction and non-fiction.  He is currently looking to move into film and TV and has recently completed courses in Screenwriting and Filmmaking.

During lockdown he was Children's Writer in Residence at the Stay at Home Literary Festival, and held online school workshops as part of Liverpool Writes.

Rob's first degree was in Law but he has since gained a Master's in Creative Writing.
