PJ Vanston was born in Dartford, Kent but now lives in Swansea where he runs a small editing/proofreading business. He writes satirical novels and short stories as PJ VANSTON, most notably the dark campus satire CRUMP (2010). His short stories have been widely published and have won several prizes.

The author has previously written two books as JEM VANSTON called A CAT CALLED DOG (2013 longer version and 2015 illustrated shorter version for kids/adults). The sequel, A CAT CALLED DOG 2 – THE ONE WITH THE KITTENS, will be published in Spring 2017.

As well as writing books, the author also writes songs, including COME ON WALES, by Little Red Dragons, a charity football song recorded for Euro2016.

His songs have been made available to recording artists, and he continues to write both songs and stories.

Future projects include: a musical based on his own book A CAT CALLED DOG and a middle grade children’s book (to be published 2018), both under the name JEM VANSTON.
