I've been a national newspaper journalist for many years after working as a reporter on local weeklies in London and as a writer and editor for magazines dealing with film, medicine, travel and finance. At the same time I've loved the work of the great fiction storytellers of our time, names like Robert Harris, Robert Goddard, Henry Porter, Philip Kerr, Ken Follett and Jack Higgins. I very much hope to follow in their distinguished footsteps. One of the great joys of writing fiction is the fascinating research journey needed to provide a factual basis for the story.
