Chris Green first wrote children’s stories in his twenties, but found it to be more challenging than expected, and turned his hand instead to writing short stories for adults. Many years later, during the corona crisis, Chris occasionally taught English online and read his favorite children's books, such as John Ryan's Captain Pugwash books, with his English students. Chris’s interest in writing children's stories returned and he created a setting and a collection of characters that he hoped would appeal to children and to grownups. Chris’s "On the Beach" stories are inspired by his childhood days on the beaches of North Yorkshire, Chris Rea’s music, and all the children’s books he has read and enjoyed.
