|summary=It's scary starting school, even if you're a boisterous bunny. But is school really that bad? There's only one way to find out!
}}
Simon is a rabbit. A cheeky rabbit. So when his mum tells him he’s starting school in the morning, he doesn’t accept this. He answers back. ''I’m not going'' he says. And while at first it seems he’s just being stubborn, over night the truth comes out: he’s actually a little bit scared.

You can guess what happens because there’s only one thing that really can happen: Simon has to go to school. He can’t just not go. So he goes and of course he has a marvelous time when he gets into it. In fact at the end of the day, when it’s home time, he doesn’t even want to leave.

This is a sweet starting school book that’s perfect for boys and girls (and rabbits). It explores, in a safe way, the idea of a big scary change and I love that it doesn’t sugar coat things – when he gets to school on his first day, the first thing he does is cry.

The illustrations are rough and ready, bright and fun with lots of primary colours. I love daddy rabbit with his glasses – best choice of bunny accessory ever. He looks so grown up and professional. And French. The author’s country of residence shines through in other areas too, like the dodgy (sorry…''European'') handwriting on the board and on the alphabet chart.

This is a simple book but a fun one and it’s done well. Recommended summer reading before the start of the school term.

Thanks go to the publishers for supplying this book.
