Sensibly redressing the portrayal of dinosaurs as monsters, this is another one you can rely on to not disturb the younger pre-schooler and for that reason alone I recommend it wholeheartedly. The fact that it ticks so many other boxes is a bonus and I can see this little book sitting in a prominent position on the shelf for a long time to come.
For further reading, the occupants of our household, adult and child, rather enjoy a rhyming story – I've mentioned it before, but we adore [[Tyrannosaurus Drip by Julia Donaldson|Tyrannosaurus Drip]] and [[The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson|The Gruffalo]] both by Julia Donaldson. We also very heartily recommend [[The Day The Gogglynipper Googlynipper Escaped by James McKnight and Mark Chambers]] because it’s fun and follows the monster theme.
Lastly, we at Bookbag would like to extend our thanks to the kind ladies and gentlemen at Red Robin Books for sending us this copy to review.
