Minecraft proudly present their latest official book: ''The Survivors' Book of Secrets.''
The book is divided into several sections, each dealing with a different survival technique. The book shares tips on how to build the best bases, how to set traps, defensive and offensive manoeuvres and even a very special chapter on how to beat the infamous End Game and defeat the fearsome Ender Dragon.
This isn't a book for beginners and a certain level of proficiency at the game is expected from the outset. However, for those who have already mastered the basics and are keen to seek more challenges, this book will certainly help them to sharpen up their game. The wording is easy to follow and most sections come with handy diagrams to compliment the text.
The book does look quite basic compared to some of the other official Minecraft books available, and lacks the impressive colour images that made its predecessors so user-friendly. I wasn't impressed by the final chapter, as pages 94-112 consisted solely of lined and blank pages for making notes. I'd chose content over quantity every time.
However, despite its shortcomings, there is plenty to enjoy in this handy little book and the application of the tips contained inside will certainly enhance the gameplay experience. Many thanks to the publishers for my review copy, which I'm certain will get plenty of use over the coming months!
