Once upon a time, when the world was very different - I was a Psychiatric nurse. Now, I'm a storyteller. A writer of children's fiction - who enjoys delving into the worlds of fantasy and adventure. Originally from South Wales (UK), I have always loved listening to stories and grew up on a rich diet of Welsh myths and legends.

Right now, I am to be found roosting near Pontefract, West Yorkshire, where the rain tastes and smells pretty much the same as in the Welsh valleys.

Over the past seven years, I've been fortunate enough to be able to hone my skills with the help of the talented writing groups in Doncaster and Wakefield. It's a privilege working with some of Yorkshire's finest poets, songwriters and novelists. Coal might be in the past but the 'rich seam' of creativity is very much alive and kicking.

The Oozing Magic series is my most recent venture into the weird and wacky world of fantasy. The series is written for the younger age group, 7-10-years. Deadwood Hall is the first in the series, with stunning illustrations by the exceptionally talented David Hailwood. It has also been recorded as an audiobook by the very talented Philip Battley. The second book in the series, Deep Waters, is also published.

I have also just re-published a novel for the older age group 10-13, called A Fistful Of Feathers - It's a quirky adventure with a science-fantasy twist that will keep any young reader guessing... The sequel is due out in the next few months.
