After the sudden death of her eldest child in 2013, Kelly Owen was inspired to write 'The Dragonfly Story' having come across the fable of the waterbugs and dragonflies. The transformation of the dragonfly has long been used to describe what happens when we die and offers hope that we will be reunited with our loved ones after death. 'The Dragonfly Story' has been retold set around the relatable story of the death of a sibling. Beautifully illustrated by Helen Braid, the book aims to help children and families experiencing loss of any kind.

Kelly works as a proofreader and editor. She lives with her husband Mark and their four children in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
