Is frog-friendly fiction on its way to becoming a recognized literary genre? Well not according to the mainstream publishing industry, but that hasn't dampened Faiz Kermani's enthusiasm for writing funny children's stories with amphibian heroes and heroines. His wacky and humorous tales, which do occasionally extend to non-frog themes, have surprisingly generated enough attention to pick up the odd award in Europe and (across the pond) in the US. Faiz finds that the best part of being a children's author is working with schools and libraries on literary and writing initiatives. He is currently involved in a number of educational projects in Europe and his books have been translated into various languages including French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Russian.
